Helping those who have been dealt an unfair hand
Life can deal people an unfair hand at any time. We see that with our own customers, young and old.
That is why Fairer Futures is designed to reach across the generations. We want to help those dealing with youth homelessness, families living in poverty and people living with dementia.
Centrepoint
Every 4 minutes, a young person faces homelessness. Last year this number was nearly 136,000.
Centrepoint provide the expert support and secure housing that young people need to reclaim their dreams and have a future beyond homelessness.
Action for Children
4.3 million children are currently living in poverty in the UK. That's 10 children in a classroom of 30. And we know that poverty can impact every part of childhood and family life.
Action for Children helps families through crisis, and fights for an end to child poverty and hardship.
It protects and supports vulnerable children and young people. And provides practical and emotional care and support to them and their parents.
Dementia UK
Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. And 1 in 2 people will be affected by dementia in their lifetime. Whether that means caring for someone with the diagnosis, developing it themselves or both.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity. Its specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, tailored advice and support to help families care for their loved one. And ensure no one faces dementia alone.
