Gift Card Terms and Conditions

If you buy Life Insurance and/or Decreasing Life Insurance with or without Critical Illness Cover, you’ll be entitled to either a £75 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* or M&S e-Gift Card after you apply online.

Please read the following Terms and Conditions before you apply:

  • This offer is only available to customers who take out a Legal & General Life Insurance and/or Decreasing Life Insurance policy, with or without Critical Illness Cover online via Nationwide Building Society between 1st July 2024 and 31st December 2024.
  • You will be eligible for your e-Gift Card six months after your policy start date, provided you haven’t cancelled your policy and your payments are fully up to date.
  • A “What Happens Next” letter or email will be sent to you within 30 days from your policy start date to advise you of the next steps.
  • After 6 months, you will receive a “How to Claim” email or letter within seven days which will contain details on how to select your e-Gift Card. You have 6 months from receipt of this communication to make your gift choice. If you don’t claim within 3 months, we will send you a reminder email or letter. You will have a remaining 3 months to claim your gift from this reminder communication or we will withdraw the offer.
  • You will be able to choose from a £75 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* or £75 M&S e-Gift Card.
  • Retailer conditions apply. Please see terms and conditions on the reward claim website for this information.
  • Once you have made your gift choice, a unique code will be issued via letter to the postal address on your policy with instructions on how to redeem your e-Gift Card.
  • Please allow 30 days for the delivery of this communication. You will have 30 days from the date of the letter to reveal your reward, after which the link will expire.
  • Once you’ve made your choice, Legal & General, Nationwide and / or MLP have the right to amend the gift at any time, substituting for equal or greater value.
  • Once you’ve chosen your e-Gift Card, this cannot be amended. If the retailers are amended, the Terms & Conditions of the new retailers will apply.
  • This offer is only available if you apply directly online via Nationwide Building Society. If you apply via a Financial Adviser, or through any other website that isn’t www.nationwide.co.uk such as a comparison site, you will not be eligible for this offer.
  • If you have previously held and cancelled a Legal & General Life Insurance or Decreasing Life Insurance policy, with or without Critical Illness Cover within the last 18 months, you will not be eligible for this offer.
  • Legal & General reserves the right to cancel your Legal & General Life Insurance or Decreasing Life Insurance policy or your eligibility for an e-Gift Card should we discover or have a reasonable suspicion that the terms and conditions of this offer are being abused.
  • This offer is limited to one e-Gift Card per policy sold.
  • This offer is limited to two e-Gift Cards per household.
  • Legal & General reserve an absolute right to amend and/or withdraw any offer at any time.
  • No cash alternative will be offered.
  • This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or offers.
  • This offer expires on 31st December 2024. Applications submitted on or before this date will qualify for this offer, subject to meeting the T&Cs of the offer.
